Background
Innovative Energy Projects CC is a medium, 100% Black and privately owned firm based in Cape Town and operating nationally. The objective is to contribute to the South African economy by specialising in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions, energy efficiency services, renewable energy (solar) projects, and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC). We are registered with South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) as an Energy Services Company (ESCO).

HVAC Solutions
- Advising clients on energy-efficient HVAC systems.
- Specialized installation, maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems.
- Optimization and maintenance of Boiler and Steam Systems, Compressed Air systems, Electric Motors and Drives, and retrofitting energy-inefficient Air Conditioners with advanced technology.
Renewable Energy Project and Programme Management
- Expertise in Project and Programme Management, specializing in designing and managing Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal projects.
- Focus on integrating solar energy solutions to enhance overall energy efficiency.
Energy Efficiency Services
- Energy Consulting: Formulating strategies for clients to enhance overall energy efficiency, particularly focusing on optimizing HVAC systems.
- Energy Solutions: Heat pump installations & maintenance.
- Energy Audits: Conducting comprehensive audits based on SANS 50 002 –2014 Energy Audits standards and requirements.
- Energy Performance Certificates (EPC): Offering support services for EPC, in accordance with SANS 1544 2014 and SANS 10400XA 2021. These services include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Verification of floor area sizes and area usage;
- Verification different energy sources consumed by the building;
- Determining energy exclusions by means of an energy audit of relevant equipment e.g.
- lighting;
- Measurements of floor space where required; and
- Data collection of electricity bills, gas purchases, diesel purchases and any other energy source purchase that are applicable.
Mechanical Engineering Services
- Data analysis and energy modelling
- Installation of instruments and measurement of process parameters.
- Heat and mass transfer.
- Mechanical design of a very wide range of equipment, including design of experiments.
- Quantification of energy, material, and water savings opportunities.
- Renewable energy design.

Performance Record
Innovative Energy completed 61 EPC audits, data capturing and gathering Energy Carrier data required for Inspection Body to register EPC at SANEDI on National Building Energy Performance Register as Regulated by Department Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) 3 August 2023.
